The UK IT company Technology Services Group Limited (TSG) has acquired Midlands-based business software, IT services, and CRM specialist Concentrix Limited.  This is part of the strategic acquisition plan of TSG, and will give them significant capability in CRM software implementation, a key growth target area of the company.

Concentrix offers ‘product agnostic’ advice, consultancy, project management, deployment and support for CRM, ERP and IT Infrastructure solutions. It has a wide range of clients throughout the UK, from small businesses with only one or two users up to household name PLC’s with multiple sites and hundreds of users. In recent years, Concentrix has pursued a growth strategy itself, starting out as a one-man business in 1999, growing to over 60 full-time staff, and opening satellite offices in Bristol and London.

CRM software and services have always been a core part of the Concentrix strategy. The company has been a gold-certified Microsoft Partner since 2007 and has been offering Microsoft Dynamics CRM since the early versions of the product.

Concentrix has a strong reputation for the delivery of CRM products from leading international software authors, such as Microsoft, Sage and FrontRange Solutions.  TSG, which already looks after thousands of IT and business software customers, has recently noticed a significant increase in interest in CRM in particular as organisations look for ways to grow sales, gain a better understanding of their customers, and improve their marketing and service levels during these competitive trading times.  The wealth of CRM product expertise, knowledge, and experience held by Concentrix makes the business a great fit for TSG. Cloud computing has also played a major role in the Concentrix product strategy and the business was involved early on in the recent UK launch of the cloud CRM solution Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.

Commenting on the acquisition, Ian Dawkins, Managing Director of Concentrix said “I am very proud of the business we’ve built from a standing start in 1999.  Becoming part of TSG will allow us to continue our growth and provide our existing customers with a greater depth of services through access to the full TSG product portfolio including business software, remote support, cabling, wireless systems, telecoms, and virtualisation solutions.  We look forward to sharing our CRM expertise with TSG customers and continuing to provide all our clients with the high level of service they receive today”.

Concentrix Limited was advised by a team from Spearing Waite LLP lead by corporate partner Martin Smith and including corporate assistant Hannah Parker. David Hope from Clear and Lane gave accounting advice on the deal.
