Since the beginning of the summer I have been blogging about “
Microsoft is making big promises with their newest version of Dynamics CRM, stating in the official press release that “Dynamics 2013 is sure to make business personal by redefining how businesses engage with their customers.”
Some of the exciting new features of Dynamics CRM 2013 include:
- Integration with Yammer
- Integration with Skype
- Integration with Bing Maps
- Windows 8 and iPad apps
- Integration with MarketingPilot, which promises accurate and more in-depth marketing project tracking
Perhaps the most exciting new feature coming to Dynamics 2013 is a process driven user interface (UI). This interface supports JavaScript in both the on-premise and online versions of Dynamics 2013. Microsoft’s previous version of Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 2011, didn’t support JavaScript in the online version. A preview of this newest interface is shown below:
Microsoft has also announced it will be deleting some features of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 that users have reported as being redundant or confusing. By deleting the features below Microsoft hopes Dynamics 2013 will be easier to navigate for users:
- 2007 end points
- Some ribbon controls
- The presence of Microsoft Lync
- Duplicate detection during record creates and updates
- Workplace and personalization options for new orgs
Microsoft Dynamics 2013 is the first new version release in over 2 years and it’s obvious that ample amounts of time and energy have been spent to ensure this release will be the best version of Dynamics CRM ever!
