My opening salvo question would be, who doesn’t want to save time and money? So we can start from there and look at just some of the ways that
I would ask you, for example, if you wanted a quick count of how many companies in your database are manufacturers, would you have that information at your fingertips? In Microsoft CRM, I just run an Advanced Find query that says Industry = Manufacturing, click results, and the list comes up. But best of all, I can save that query as a Dynamic Saved View, and when I want to see that number 6 months from now, I just open the Saved View which has dynamically updated every time another company was added with Manufacturing in the Industry field, and my new, up-to-the-minute number comes right up.
Better yet, I can then create a dynamic marketing list from that Saved View and email manufacturing related content to that list. Every time I send out another email, that marketing list will have dynamically grown to include all new contacts at manufacturing companies that have been added to CRM.

Next question. How easy is it for you to determine where your leads are coming from? If I want to know that, I can just run an Advanced Find query in Microsoft Dynamics CRM that says List Lead Source = Contains Data and I’ll see the source of every lead that’s been entered in CRM. Click results and voila, in a few seconds (yes seconds not minutes) I have the lead source information my sales manager is looking for. Of course, as you might expect, I can save that query and go back to it as often as I need or want to. I can also export the results to Excel and massage the data every which way to Sunday.
And if that doesn’t resonate with you, I’ll let you in on a little secret. When we here at Altico Advisors look at that lead source analysis data, it tells us what sales and marketing tools, tactics, and strategies are working and which ones aren’t. This allows us to proactively pursue the sources that are generating the most leads, and, stop wasting our time on the ones that aren’t.
I call that powerful. Useful. Business critical.
If your CRM system can do all of that for you in a matter of seconds, then you’re golden. If not, I would humbly suggest that you take a look at Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
