Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is at the Heart of Renewed Optimism in the Software Industry

I’ve been seeing a lot of headlines like “Are We Entering another Golden Age of ERP” or “Software Industry Analysts Predict Growth Trend in 2011” or “Sales of Business Software Applications Rising.”

Of course, as a Microsoft Dynamics business solutions partner, we love those headlines.  Then Microsoft chimed in this morning with a very upbeat piece from Michael Park, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Business Solutions.  Park’s article is entitled:  “Customers Choose Microsoft Dynamics when Investing in Business Applications.”  I’ll whet your appetite with a direct quote of paragraph 1:

“As the economy continues its recovery, industry experts forecast renewed optimism in the software industry and the business applications space. Predictions include investments in business applications, especially within the CRM market to experience the largest increase of all application software markets. We are experiencing this first hand with strong revenue growth in FY11 Q2, including double digit growth for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, marking 26  consecutive quarters of double digit growth for this business.”

Ah, music to my ears.  Park continues with some pretty darn compelling numbers to illustrate the role Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is playing in this resurgence.  Tens of thousands of customers have signed up for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.  Century Payments is recognizing a $300,000 annual savings by switching to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.  What CRM system were they using before?
