With the release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, Microsoft wanted to make it business personal. The redesign of CRM 2013 was to help people do their best work and deliver great customer experiences across the board. With that thought in mind, they released Microsoft Dynamics CRM applications for Windows phone, iPhone, and Android phones. In addition to the new navigation created in CRM, the mobile application is probably what I am most excited about with this release. With this launch of the Dynamics CRM application, this is really a game changer for those users that are always on the go. The following are just some of the highlighted features in which the Dynamics CRM phone app allows you to:
- Create, Update, and Delete CRM records, such as Contacts, Leads, Accounts, Opportunities, etc.
- Create Appointments
- Search Records
- Attach Image to Records, such as Receipts, Invoices, etc.
- Access Contacts and Contact Information for Calls or Site Visits
In addition, you can really make the phone experience work specifically for phone users by customizing which entities in CRM show up on the phones. This will really make an impact for those users always on the go, but still require CRM information quickly and at any time.
Now, to be honest, the app is not as robust as I was hoping it may be. But, for a version 1.0 release, Microsoft is definitely on the right track.
