When it was released earlier this spring, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 update 1 brought with it a variety of enhancements to help users make the most of their busy days. One of the best of these new features was a totally redesigned tablet app. It was revamped to make the things that people do most often, like viewing records on the go, making phone calls or sending emails easier and faster. Here are the top 5 time saving enhancements available in the latest Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 tablet app.

Time-Saving Feature Number 1: Pin Your Favorites to the Dashboard

This feature is particularly useful if there are certain views and/or records that you need to access on a regular basis. Simply navigate to the item that you want to add to your dashboard, tap and hold it until the menu opens up at the bottom of your screen. Then, tap “Pin to Dashboard.”

Time-Saving Feature Number 2: Create Communications Cards

Sort of a digital version of the Rolodex cards that used to be commonplace in every office, the communication cards in Dynamics CRM 2015 make it easy for users to communicate with leads or contacts. They give you a bigger view of the record and also offer one click access to initiate an email or Skype call.

Time-Saving Feature Number 3: Log Phone Calls While You Talk

In Windows 8 when you start a Skype call, the two apps (Skype and Microsoft Dynamics CRM) automatically snap together. That way, you can access both simultaneously and make notes in CRM during the conversation rather than waiting until it is complete and you risk forgetting important details.

Time-Saving Feature Number 4: Resize Columns

When you resize columns in the Dynamics CRM 2015 tablet app, your changes are automatically saved so that you don’t have to make them every time you want to view information. Better yet, the saved column widths are specific to a particular view. So, you can have different settings for each view that allow you to easily see the information that’s most important to you.

Time-Saving Feature Number 5: Drill Down to See Chart Data

Anytime you pull up a chart in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 tablet app, you can tap on the chart header and any section of the chart to see the records related to that section.
