‘Tis the season for holiday cards and gift giving. A Customer Relationship Management software system can help eliminate the hassle and time spent compiling your mailing list. With Microsoft Dynamics CRM, businesses can compile a mailing list for holiday cards and letters to companies in their database in just a few minutes.
First, access the Marketing module in CRM and create a marketing list.
If you are sending certain customers gifts and others cards, make sure to create two separate lists.
Once you have your list created, you can add members by running a query. In this example, I searched for all current customers.
I enabled the list to be dynamic, meaning that as new customers are added to CRM over the next year, my customer Christmas list will automatically update. Next year, I can reuse this same list and know it’s up to date. From this screen, we can easily export the information to Excel and merge into a mailing label template. It’s that simple.
Marketing lists can be created for any mailing or email blast that you plan on sending out. You can give access to others on your team, allowing them to edit the members on the list if needed. Tracking this information through CRM also provides you information on campaigns that each customers or prospect was a part of. From there, your marketing team can better evaluate ROI based on responses and prospect conversions.
