No reason not to use Dynamics CRM with Dynamics GP
The first big take away I had from this conversation was that there is no reason not to be using

Install is a snap; Configuration is significant
My second take away was that while Microsoft creates all of these products and the various teams involved discuss implementation strategy there is significant configuration involved for the systems to talk accurately and reliably. From my experience install is a snap but when it comes to configuration, the configurator should have a fairly detailed understanding of the ERP, CRM and connector.
Endless connection options for Dynamics
My final take away was that Microsoft has created a specialized but greatly customizable tool. In addition to the out of the box adapters, the Connector Team provides a full SDK for developing additional adapters. The possibilities of systems to connect with your Dynamics product are nearly endless...
