Microsoft Plans to Update Dynamics CRM Online by the End of 2011

Microsoft has confirmed that they plan to have the next version of Dynamics CRM Online ready to launch before the end of the 2011 calendar year. This delivery date commitment was reaffirmed during the Microsoft Dynamics Worldwide Partner Conference on July 12. They expect this updated version to be integrated into Office 365.

CRM Online will lead the charge in an accelerated CRM delivery schedule with updates to both on-premise and cloud versions planned semi-annually. In the fourth quarter of 2011 Microsoft has suggested an automatic update to CRM Online and is already scheduling additional updates for the second quarter of 2012.

Updates planned for the next release of CRM include: Disaster recovery, federated identity, security, and additional privacy aspects according to officials. New social capabilities beyond chat features will also be part of the update. In addition to integrating CRM Online with Microsoft Office 365 there are plans to integrate the solution into the existing bundle of SharePoint Online and Exchange Online.
