What's new with Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit?
Microsoft is releasing two volunteering Power Apps that will be automatically enabled for users targeted in November 2021: Volunteer Engagement and Volunteer Management.
Volunteer Engagement is a Power Apps portal application that volunteers utilize to review and register for open opportunities published by nonprofit staff. The app offers volunteers the ability to create profiles to promote their experience and personal interests. The interactive portal bolsters relationships between prospective volunteers and nonprofit staff while exchanging communications related to volunteering opportunities all within the unified application.
Volunteer Management gives organizations the ability to manage engagement opportunities and gain volunteer insights. Organizations can easily track volunteer sign-ups and shift attendance, review and approve qualified volunteers for opportunities, and learn about where volunteers are in the onboarding process. This includes the ability for nonprofits to design and publish engagement opportunities to the Volunteer Engagement portal and automate messaging to volunteers throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
