Microsoft Teams has become an essential tool to help everyone in the office (or coworkers on the other side of the world) communicate, collaborate, and get things done. Now, being deeply integrated into the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement product suite, you can take advantage of additional productivity enhancements that will help you collaborate without leaving the application you’re working with.
It's easy to integrate Microsoft Teams with Microsoft Dynamics 365
First, set up – just enable a few options in Dynamics 365 and you’re on your way.
Teams and Dynamics 365 integrated features you will want to use right away.
Chat right from your Dashboard.
Right from the Dynamics 365 CE Dashboard, you can initiate a conversation with a team member – bringing along the context of the customer record you’re working on. You’ll also be able to see other recent chats, allowing you to read and respond to your messages without breaking stride.
Dynamics 365 Connected Teams Chats.
These allow you to converse in Teams with your coworkers about a customer record – with a short synopsis and a link back to Dynamics 365 so you can quickly switch contexts as needed.
Collaborate on Dynamics Views in Teams.
As an example, you can turn a Filtered List in Dynamics 365 into a tab in your Teams channel, letting everyone in the group view it, discuss it, and collaborate. This opens up many possibilities, such as a discussion of Open Opportunities with the Sales team. The list retains its interactivity and will work just as if you were in Dynamics.
This just scratches the surface of what you can do with the Teams integration.
Other interesting features available:
Embedded Teams Calling: Make a quick call right from your Dynamics 365 dashboard.
Organize Teams Meetings: Create and join meetings while in Dynamics.
File Integration: Collaborate on documents, upload them to a Teams channel, and they’ll be linked to the Dynamics 365 record.
Personal Dashboard in Teams: Quickly hop into your dashboard without leaving Teams.
