Working from home, working from the office, or in some cases, the hybrid of both — the modern workplace can make collaboration challenging. The pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we all work. If you are in sales, marketing or service, you thrive on interaction and teamwork. Microsoft Teams is Microsoft Office 365’s hub for teamwork. It is a platform where you can connect and collaborate with your teammates to manage your customer and prospect relationships.
Microsoft Teams integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for CRM and other Office 365 applications such as Dynamics 365 Sales to transform Teams into your daily workspace. For a high-level overview of Microsoft Teams, check out “
Here are three key ways Teams help you create a resilient, inclusive workspace.
1) It provides interactive meeting and virtual event capabilities.
Together Mode – Brings meeting participants together in a shared digital space. It places participants in a shared background to feel like you are in the same room as everyone else. Breakout Rooms – Provides a way for you to separate your meeting participants into smaller group meetings.
Meeting Recap – After a meeting, you can access the transcripts and attendance report from one place. Custom Meeting Experience – Create apps in Teams for more tailored experiences such as an integrated app can promote seamless customer support. When an incident has been flagged for service, agents can meet on Teams to collaborate a solution and update the incident directly in the app. Virtual Events – Plan and execute virtual event from Teams from registration to event execution to gathering post-event insights that measure the overall effectiveness of your event.
2) It solidifies remote and hybrid work teams.
Microsoft has new and re-imagined capabilities and devices to support inclusive collaboration in Teams for remote, onsite, and hybrid scenarios.
Teams Certified Devices for Hybrid Scenarios – Certified devices complement Teams by providing reliable, high-quality audio and video experiences from anywhere. Over 100 certified devices were added in 2020 alone. Certified devices like Teams Panels (coming early 2020) are a great addition to hybrid workspaces and can be used as space management devices.

“Touchless” Features – To start and end meetings you can use Cortana voice assistance, or the Teams mobile app's new remote control for in-room devices. With Microsoft’s Surface Hub and Microsoft Teams Rooms, you and your remote and onsite teams can engage in collaborative whiteboarding sessions to ideate and create together. It also provides transcription features.
3) It provides new ways to streamline work and automate processes.
Teams is your one-stop platform for collaboration and productivity. Integrated apps and automated workflows take it to the next level.
Power Automate and Power Apps integration – The Power Automate integration with Teams makes it easy to automate your work processes with workflow templates for Teams and a new designer experience. The Power Apps integration allows you to create an application without leaving the platform.
