How ironic that people in the communications industry tend to do the least amount of talking with each other. Bringing the sales and marketing teams together and getting them on the same page is crucial to closing more sales (and avoiding food fights in the break room). The development team at Microsoft has been working on a solution to the communication issue and has announced a new release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM that will include a Sales Collaboration Panel. The panel is intended to give sales team visibility into marketing campaign activities and control over communications targeting their customers.

Sales professionals will now have the ability to provide input into campaigns and targeting. They also can set up and receive alerts based on their interactions. At the same time, marketers can now streamline campaign creation and improve segmentation with graphical email editing, A/B testing, integrated offers and approval workflows. Marketers can more effectively collaborate with the click-to-call feature in Lync and easily schedule and execute webinars as part of their marketing initiatives.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 is slated to be released in the fourth quarter of 2014
