All Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organizations should now have received UR2 for CRM 2013. The download for On Premise customers can be founhere for those looking to fix an existing issue or will be available via Windows Update in April.

More than 60 items were called out as being fixed this time around. In addition to the fixes, UR2 now brings official support for Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11 for both the web and tablet clients, iOS7 iPad support for the web client, overall support for the iPad Air for the web and tablet clients, as well as Windows Server 2012 R2 support for the CRM 2013 Server installations.

A few items in particular to call out that have been fixed or changed:

  • In organizations with auto save disabled previously the behavior when closing a windowed record or navigating from a record still caused the record to be saved. UR2 changes this behavior so that in this scenario a warning message is displayed giving users the option to cancel and remain on the page or navigate away without saving changes.
  • Along with the changes to auto save, the “Save and Close” button has once again surfaced on record forms.
  • Subgrids continually displaying the “Loading…” message and constantly requesting data in the background has been resolved.
  • Issues with field security and checkboxes causing JavaScript errors when saving have been resolved.

For the complete list of items see Microsoft KB2919956.
